The Bombay Sapphire Distillery is located on the site of a former paper mill in the stunning Hampshire countryside. The proud history of Laverstoke Mill (where the distillery is based) spans over 1000 years and became the home of the Bombay Spirits Company in 2010.

Nowadays, the distillery showcases the care, skill and artistry that goes into creating its gin while providing historical and educational experiences, masterclasses and parties to its visitors — all with a complimentary tipple of course.

To improve the experiences of its valued patrons and gin lovers, the Mount Lighting team were contacted to supply a range of lighting as part of a revamp. Lighting that would invigorate the senses and create a beautiful cohesion throughout the building’s rooms was essential.

In the Turbine Bar, the M-Line suspended linear system elevates the space to a whole new level, creating ambience and sufficient/safe lighting levels for the floors, worktops and pathways. The prize feature of the room is the smooth white surface of the bar top that’s speckled with Bombay Sapphire bottle shards; shards that now glisten and shine under the light of the M-Line fixtures.

The walkways and foyers of the building also incorporate M-Line, Force and Curva exit signs that meet sufficient lux and emergency lighting requirements. The cinema room where visitors learn about all things Bombay Sapphire has also been re-inspired by the Mount product offering.

The site is now more prepared than ever to offer the ultimate gin experience.
