Boston Scientific, a global leader in biotechnology and biomedical engineering, needed a lighting scheme that delivered on form and function. The project was a Category B office fit-out, and Unispace, the main contractor, was looking for lighting that would elevate the workspace while supporting its acoustic and architectural features.
RS Response, the electrical contractor, chose Mount Lighting based on a strong history of successful collaboration. They knew we could deliver something tailored, technical, and on point.
However each space came with its own set of challenges. In the office, meeting rooms, and canteen, the brief called for Globe suspended lighting that would sit comfortably alongside acoustic baffles. These fittings needed to create a productive atmosphere without compromising on clarity or acoustic performance – a balance crucial in LED office lighting design.
Corridors and circulation areas required a bespoke M-Line lighting design – sleek, architectural, linear lighting – to guide flow and add structure to open-plan zones. Each fitting had to work with the existing suspended metal ceilings and integrate smoothly with pre-existing presence detectors.
With experience in complex fit-outs, deep knowledge of on-site needs, and the ability to customise as required, we provided the flexibility and precision this project demanded.
The Highlights

Project Conclusion
For the corridors across both floors, Mount Lighting supplied bespoke lighting M-Line light fittings, tailored to align seamlessly with the building’s suspended SAS metal ceilings. The lighting system used standard surface/suspended M-Line lights, custom-configured to suit the shape and flow of the circulation spaces.
Each unit came clearly labelled and packaged to meet the accompanying installation drawings. These included everything the contractor needed: section lengths, section numbers, locations for presence detectors, and emergency lighting points – all neatly laid out and cross-referenced with a product schedule. It wasn’t just a lighting system. It was a system designed for ease, especially on site.
Here is what Steve Langabeer, Project Manager at RS Response had to say: “We’ve worked with Mount Lighting on a number of projects now – and it’s always a smooth process. One of the challenges with this install was the suspended M-Line system running through the corridors. The lights were specific geometric patterns and came with a fair few components, but Mount Lighting made it easy”.
“They gave us fully labelled drawings, including everything from section numbers to detector and emergency locations, plus a matching schedule for the boxes. Their joining system is well designed – contractor-friendly and straightforward to put together. That kind of support made a real difference. We’re really pleased with the end result.”
