Mount Lighting worked alongside electrical contractor S&J Electrical and interior design team Kinetic Workplace to bring Stone X’s existing London office up to spec. The goal? To match the lighting in their London office with their overseas offices – down to the smallest detail. With visuals supplied, our team got to work, selecting fittings that delivered the same look and feel, ensuring a consistent brand identity across international locations.

This was a full CAT B design & build project across multiple floors. It included workspaces, break-out areas, corridors, meeting rooms – all needing lighting that worked perfectly for its function.

We didn’t just supply lighting; we collaborated with S&J and Kinetic Workplace to design the entire scheme. Each fitting was chosen with precision, ensuring harmony with existing overseas offices. Aesthetic consistency? Nailed it.

A key requirement was DALI-compatible fittings, to give full control over lighting levels and energy efficiency. But this wasn’t the only challenge. The variety of fittings needed across the space meant our expertise had to truly shine.

Individual meeting rooms featured ceiling rafts, requiring recessed lighting and architectural LED downlights to integrate seamlessly, whilst open plan meeting areas had high exposed ceilings with services on display. This meant our fittings had to work around these while keeping workstations well-lit and comfortable for a productive work environment.

With our experience and expertise in workplace lighting, we were able to deliver a lighting design that looked great and worked flawlessly.

The Highlights

Nova - Suspended LED Downlight With the office floor featuring differing ceiling levels, both suspended and surface downlights were used. Offering high and super high lumen efficiency respectively, both versions reduce glare – providing a pleasing visual experience. The concave front designs, reflectors and lens optic combination ensure the Nova LED downlights are perfect for an office environment requiring concentration. Blade - Low Glare Suspended Panel Light A suspended ceiling light panel that has been specifically designed to be an attractive uplighting option for exposed ceilings. Its aluminium frame and microprism internal diffuser can achieve better than UGR>19 glare rating for task areas. Razor - Suspended LED Emergency Exit Sign To complement the high and exposed ceilings, the suspended Razor LED emergency exit sign was used. Featuring a crystal clear acrylic panel, which provides even light distribution and excellent visibility, the stylish LED exit sign is available in various colour finishes and mounting types to meet the space’s aesthetic perfectly.
