Our team provided Casambi lighting controls design, technical lighting design, full lighting supply, and Casambi commissioning, resulting in a custom finish specific to the CAT B space, including the display areas for demonstrating Spacestor’s modular architectural, space-defining furniture product ranges, the boardroom, the sample materials area and the back of house amenity areas.

The technical lighting design was an important aspect, with the team needing to make considerations concerning the statutory levels of lighting on all surfaces, with a primary focus being on aesthetics and ensuring product ranges and quality materials are highlighted perfectly throughout.

The concept of the space was presented as “The New Landscape for Work”, so it was important to our team and Spacestor to create a stimulating, refreshing and highly adaptable workplace to suit the ever-changing needs of the commercial environment. We utilised our modular and customisable M-Line Linear and Floe-Line Curved architectural lighting ranges to achieve this, pairing them with Casambi lighting controls to ensure the space is sustainably lit and human-centric, allowing users to view the benefits Casambi lighting controls can provide to commercial spaces. The client was also keen to put the scene control to use in different scenarios, enabling them to show how products work in the best way for the user.

Team Mount was faced with several challenges throughout the project. The timescale was considerably short, with considerable work to do. To enable us to provide the best possible service, we ensured we maintained close integration with the Spacestor design team throughout the project, with early design input from Gensler, the industry-leading global architecture, design, and planning firm, along with detailed project management throughout, in view of the tight timescale.

Together the team were able to deliver an exceptional finish, ready for the launch of the new design centre at Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, that everyone was very happy with.
