Artillery House launches itself out from the crowd when taking a stroll along Artillery Row in the heart of Westminster. The prestige and history of the building, convenient travel links and the features of the units make Artillery House a great base for businesses to thrive and grow.
Our most recent lighting project at Artillery House was a CAT A refurbishment for the office area on the eighth floor to create a functional and well-lit workspace ready to attract the new tenants.
Mount Lighting provided our lighting design service following assessments and discussions with the building management team. A unique challenge of the design and supply was related to the controls of the M-Line LED linear lighting. Any linear lights that we supplied needed to have specific switching (as below):
- Direct light – DALI dimmable through PIR detectors and switches
- Indirect light – Fixed output switched separately to the downlight with separate presence detectors
As far as options for digital dimming go, the technology Mount supply is the simplest to use for the client and is operated via a ‘push to make’ or retractive switch.
All lighting that our team supplied was designed and produced in-house to standard CIBSE lux levels and manufactured prior to the site’s ‘ready date’ so all luminaires were available immediately when required. In addition, all lighting was supplied within a short time scale to keep the project on track.
The final result exceeded the client’s expectations. With Mount’s M-Line LED linear lighting system installed, the space is now an appealing commercial space for new tenants looking for a perfectly illuminated office.
The overall appearance is bright and clean, and the black M-Line linear profile is a pleasing contrast against the white up-lit ceiling. Furthermore, all lighting is compliant with relevant regulations to guarantee peace of mind and productivity for future occupants and of course the landlord.
