Project Grosvenor Street & Grosvenor Hill, LONDON

The location in Grosvenor Street was a gorgeous period townhouse located in the centre of Mayfair. Converted into a commercial space with a square footage of 6,500 sq.ft. over five storeys, this building required beautiful lighting to enhance the ornate interiors and unique design of each floor. Only 300 feet away is Grosvenor Hill, a two-storey office space close to Bond Street Underground. This Central London location is an ideal spot for a modern workplace with floods of natural light. For additional aesthetics and functionality, Mount Lighting was asked to provide office lighting for the 2000 square footage.

Our brief was to supply and install interior lighting across multiple storeys within two Category A fit-out refurbishment projects. To ensure that we achieved the ultimate office lighting layout and supplied the best assortment of interior lighting, the Mount Lighting team worked closely with their designer.

By working closely with the designer, who required a specific lighting layout for the office structure, we could ensure that every luminaire had the correct output and lux levels for the working environment.

The project required interior lighting for multiple areas and we utilised our wide range of innovative lighting to find solutions for every space. With so many floors and zones to provide different categories of lighting for, and specific atmospheres in certain rooms(as some rooms were listed, the team had to put their creative minds to the test and step up to the challenge.

We installed linear lighting above general office areas for broad, bright spreads of light with an aesthetic, sleek finish and ensured sufficient lighting levels in toilets and corridor areas with LED downlights.

As the listed office spaces needed their authentic features enhanced, we supplied wall lights and low glare LED downlights to blend the character of the room seamlessly. We also provided low-level inset lights to the staircase which linked to emergency back up supplies to provide emergency lighting to the large winding staircase.

All supplied lighting was carefully selected to fit in the architecture of the building and the ongoing use as commercial office space.

M-Line Surface-Mounted LED Linear Supplied in various lengths to the upper office areas. Sleek LED Wall Lights Specified to complement UGR19 Velo downlights in the listed offices on the first floor. Small Epic LED Recessed Downlights Installed in the staircase and toilet areas with integral emergency conversion as necessary. Attractive Track Lighting Supplied for the landing areas with complementary foot lighting to the marvellous winding central staircase.

Project Conclusion

By working closely with our client and supporting every requirement they had, we could provide a stunning, smart and functional lighting solution to the two sites. We carried out site visits, supplied samples and maintained contact with the designer at every stage to make sure we were always ready to provide a solution or ideas.

Both buildings are now receiving the long-lasting and positive benefits of high-quality LED lighting that supports employee welfare and benefits the business owners. All areas of the office buildings from conference rooms, reception areas, toilets and communal break-out areas have optimum lux levels and aesthetic lighting solutions.
