Project Brentford Football Club,

This project was one of our smaller London ones, but as with all our projects, our team put the utmost dedication into assisting the client, Ardent Sports ensuring their every need and requirement was met during our service. No matter our client, their requirements, needs, or the size of the project, our team is always devoted to providing an outstanding lighting design service that goes above and beyond in every aspect.

The client contacted us to provide a modern and bespoke lighting feature in the facility’s reception area. They wanted something that supplemented the football club’s logo of a bee.

The team did a first-class job with this design, ensuring we hit the brief in the best possible way by incorporating the club’s logo into the design.  Our lighting designer created a design using our popular M-Line Slimline Hexagons suspended together to represent the hexagonal shape of a honeycomb. This really complimented the linear graphic of the Club’s branding on the reception desk, creating a stunning ceiling light feature.

Geometric-shaped ceiling lights such as these LED Hexagon ones can be hung in many different ways, to match the design brief. In Brentford FC’s reception, they match the branding and create a subtle flow from the entrance to the interior.

Other ways to utilise hexagonal lights in your design include spacing them out in different ways; randomly or distanced apart. Our range of sizes allows them to be nested inside each other, either at an equal height or staggered to give a perception of perspective.

The brief was explicit about wanting the illuminance of the reception area to be 300 lux. Having a suitable illuminance level is essential, particularly in areas such as office settings, like a reception, due to staff working in the space for hours at a time and welcoming visitors throughout the day, all while making an impactful first impression.

The project was successfully managed by our Mount Lighting designer, the client Ardent Sports and their contracted installer. While we did not visit the site in person, we were able to handle all the necessary details via email and phone efficiently.
