When we were first approached to become part of this project in the heart of Central London, the building was undergoing a refurbishment to convert the existing office space into multiple serviced offices. The work area was extensive, covering four floors, and extending into the rear mews buildings.

The existing lighting was to be completely removed by the electrical contractor and we were commissioned to provide a compliant lighting scheme to meet CIBSE Lux level regulations for general office and emergency escape lighting.

The new lighting design needed to meet the requirements of a CAT A serviced office space while remaining consistent with the lighting schemes repeated across floors. This attention to design maintained continuity and connection between the spaces.

By using our innovative Suspended M-Line luminaires, the client was able to fill the office spaces with direct light that complied with CIBSE lux regulations and convey a sleek, continuous design throughout.

Project Conclusion

There were some challenges that needed to be overcome with this project. The interior contractor was already on-site, requiring an alternative solution to hit budget, and the property had low ceilings so it was difficult to access cabling.

However, the project was turned around in 3 weeks from order date and we achieved all initial project requirements. Delivery was on time and on budget. Very happy clients!
