project requirements

The lighting project at New Bond Street was part of a category B fit-out and required a full lighting design based on client-supplied layouts. The team at Mount Lighting assessed the proposed design, carried out full relux/dialux calculations for mains and emergency lighting, and then produced lighting schedules.

Lighting was required over three floors and would cover main office areas, meeting rooms, board rooms, breakout spaces, toilets and corridors. Each room had specific requirements and would include downlighting, task lighting, emergency lighting, ambient lighting and more respectively. One of the unique requirements was supplying lighting for the metal pan ceiling which involved installing replacement LED luminaires that would fill the whole tile.

Additionally, there was a specific design change for the Echo white downlights to have a white internal box. This was a bespoke product change and helped the lighting blend seamlessly with the luxurious interior.

As such a large project, the design, supply and installation process was completed in three phases and all luminaires were designed to meet standard CIBSE requirements.
