Project AllSfär & Lavoro Showroom, 14 Baltic Street East, Clerkenwell,

14 Baltic Street is a four-storey corner building located off Old Street in the showroom design district of Clerkenwell, London. The building had recently undergone a full internal refurbishment by May Fawzy of award-winning MF Design Studio to enhance the new shared design centre for emerging brands AllSfär and Lavoro. The Allsfär & Lavoro showroom is located on the ground floor and basement of the building, spanning 1,905 sq ft. It was important that the architectural lighting enhanced the interior design throughout Allsfär & Lavoro’s 1,905 sq ft showroom located on the ground floor and basement.

Lavoro Design are Swedish manufacturers of height-adjustable workstations dedicated to supporting a healthy and productive workplace. We were delighted when they approached us to be their lighting partner for the refit of their brand new design centre that they share with creators of calm, AllSfär, who are a UK design-led acoustic solutions manufacturer who are also championing wellbeing in the workplace.

At Mount Lighting, we, too, are strong believers in the power of light and the positive effects it can have in the workplace when done correctly. The collaboration and synergy between our 3 brands have made this one of the most important and fulfilling CAT B fitouts our team has completed.

This fully immersive showroom is now ready to come and visit to view our displayed lighting products, highlighting the very best AllSfär and Lavoro have to offer and to try out Casambi wireless lighting control in our immersive demonstrations.

The service our lighting design experts delivered involved our Casambi lighting controls design, technical lighting design, full lighting supply and Casambi commissioning across several areas, including the reception, display areas for demonstrating the AllSfär & Lavoro product ranges, the boardroom and the kitchen, including the toilets and back of house areas.

There were a number of challenges the team were faced with. With a very short timeframe to complete, our specialists went above and beyond, working weekends to ensure we were up and running and ready for the grand opening just in time for Clerkenwell Design Week 2023, in addition to interfacing with multiple design partners, including MF Design Studio, AllSfär & Lavoro.

As a team and with the assistance of AllSfär & Lavoro, we produced a custom finish tailored to the space, prioritising aesthetics, and ensuring the product ranges and quality materials were highlighted throughout. The bespoke lighting ensured all surfaces had perfect and healthy levels of light.

Project Conclusion

Overall, the project came together brilliantly, with an outstanding finish which showcases each design partner’s specialities in collaboration with our intelligent LED lighting. We are very proud of the partnership and the amazing space that has been created by passionate, creative and workplace-focused experts.
